[That definitely has some consequences in 616... Meanwhile, in MCU, Bruce thinks of Tony as nothing more than an astonishingly trustworthy friend. It's not a common thing for him.]

So why are you so concerned about Tony? This one not the same as yours.

[It's not defensive. He honestly wants to know.]

I think he's a good person. I lost Steve. Tony lost Pepper. I don't think he should suffer if he doesn't have to.

[ Tony might actually have friends here. And if he does, that's good. He doesn't deserve to be alone. She has Bucky and Rikki, but some part of her knows that as much as she cares for them, they'll never make up for losing Steve and Peggy. ]

Fair enough. Distraction is probably the best thing you can do for him.

[Bruce might not be willing to share what he knows about Tony's mental state, or discuss his own relationship with him (God forbid he exhibit emotional honesty), but if she's really that committed to helping him then he can pass along the tip JARVIS gave him.]

I hope that when you say "distraction," you're not implying I should attempt to seduce him.

[ Oh, thank God. She'd hate to sit down the Hulk - or a man who might be the Hulk - and have a chat about what's appropriate and how lining up girls for Tony Freaking Stark is not appropriate. Also, Sharon's seduction skills pretty much don't exist. ]

I'll work on it. If he's anything like the Tony I know, one suggestion that he can't solve something, and he'll be up the rest of the night working on it.

That must be universal. Tell him you need something built. That's what I did. Also happened to be true.

[It's not like he'd lied to him, even for his own good. Bruce had just been a little more forward about projects he wanted done than he would be otherwise.]

[ She wants to push for a meeting, perhaps, or for more information, but she knows the Banner in her universe doesn't always take such gestures well. It might be better to go at this more slowly.

So for now, she merely signs off. They can talk later. She'll just hope he doesn't disappear on her. ]
